Water treatment additives and products for membrane cleaning without residue
Water treatment additives and products for membrane cleaning without residues
Besides our natural filter materials and membranes, we can supply chemical agents. These chemicals are added continuously during ongoing operation to prevent precipitation of insoluble salts on the membrane surface. This has a number of advantages. The treatment significantly extends the service life of the membranes and ensures optimal yields (fresh water to permeate ratio) of up to 92 % and an effluent rate of under 8 %.
Overview of all cleaning agents
- Antiscalants: They are suitable for drinking water and exclusively used for reverse osmosis systems and they are dosed directly to untreated water in very small quantities. They prevent alkaline earth salts, silicates or phosphates i.e. the saline load from the untreated water from depositing on the diaphragms.
- Alkali membrane cleaners: The alkali-based products are the preferred choice for membrane cleaning. The combination of high alkalinity with cleaning boosters, complexing agents and special wetting agents guarantee best cleaning results.
- Acidic membrane cleaners: These cleaning concentrates based on inorganic salts are used for cyclic membrane cleaning. Special dispersing agents in the Krones Hydrocare 3902 enhance the cleansing effect and ensure a high contamination retention capacity of the cleaning solution.
- Cleaning boosters: The boosters are based on hydrogen peroxide. They substantially increase the cleansing effect of alkali solutions, and they disintegrate with virtually no residue in oxygen. Boosters can be combined with acidic cleaners to remove iron, manganese and limescale deposits.
